PoM PoM is named for the Roman goddess Pomona, deity of fruitful abundance, and keeper of the orchards. While developing our recipes, I was reminded of her over and over again as I witnessed a magical synergy transform fruit, flowers, seeds, and other gifts from the earth into delicious, creamy, amazing ice cream.

In my opinion, one of life’s simplest, yet most indelible, forms of happiness is enjoying ice cream underneath the stars on a warm summer evening. It was one of the things I missed most when I adopted a detox lifestyle more than a decade ago. It’s also one of the experiences I most love sharing with my children . . . except for the part where the fun turns to temper tantrums for my sugar-sensitive little one. 

In handcrafting ice cream from The highest quality clean, organic, natural plant-based whole food ingredients, without refined sugar, gluten, soy, nuts (mostly), gums, emulsifiers, stabilizers, or artificial colors/flavors, my dream is a world where ice cream for breakfast is definitely a thing, after school ice cream requests are an easy yes, and, on those beautiful, fleeting summer nights, air thick with humidity and mirth, every single one of us can sit outside amidst twinkling fireflies, enveloped by the soft murmur of happy, familiar voices, and share the joy of ice cream with abandon . . .
